Algoma Central Fleet Hits the 100-Vessel Mark, Records Strong Q3
St. Catharines, Ontario–based Algoma Central Corporation (TSX: ALC) reported a solid third quarter for 2025, marked by fleet milestones, steady revenue growth across segments, and ongoing investment in next-generation vessels.For the quarter ended September 30, Algoma posted revenue of C$228 million, up from C$205 million a year earlier, and EBITDA of C$89.7 million, a 19% increase year-over-year. Net earnings came in at C$39.4 million or C$0.97 per share, essentially flat compared to Q3 2024.
Stena Line Acquires Wasaline
Stena Line strengthened its position in the Baltic Sea by acquiring NLC Ferry Ab Oy/Wasaline and taking over operations of the ferry route between Umeå in Sweden and Vaasa in Finland.“It is with great joy and enthusiasm that we at Stena Line take on the responsibility for Wasaline and the route between two important regions and cities, Umeå and Vaasa,” says Niclas Mårtensson, CEO of Stena Line.The only existing ferry connection between Umeå and Vaasa is jointly owned by the two cities through the 50/50-owned company Kvarken Link, which in turn owns NLC Ferry which operates under the auxiliary name Wasaline.

Philippines, Canada Deepen Defense Ties
The Philippines and Canada signed a pact on Sunday for their armed forces to train on each other's soil, boosting defense cooperation to tackle common security concerns in the Indo-Pacific region.Canada's first such deal in the region, the Status of Visiting Forces Agreement (SOVFA) takes to five the number of accords on troops Manila has concluded with allies, in the face of China's increasingly assertive regional stance.The deal broadens the Philippines' network of security ties while complementing a long-standing alliance with its treaty partner, the United States.
DOF Group ASA Shares Q3 2025 Financial Report
DOF Group ASA's revenue for 3rd quarter (management reporting) totals USD 501 million (USD 376 million) and EBITDA totals USD 205 million (USD 141 million). The operating profit (EBIT) is USD 138 million (USD 88 million). Net financial cost amounts to USD -1 million (USD -9 million), including unrealized currency gain of USD 20 million (gain USD 17 million). The result after taxes is USD 107 million (USD 69 million). The Group’s net interest-bearing debt is USD 1,332 million (USD 1,141 million). The equity is USD 1,978 million (USD 1,195 million) giving an equity ratio of 46% (39%).
